Wedding finally over, new hair color!

So nice to have the wedding over. I think it turned out great! The only thing I was disappointed in was my photography of the actual ceremony-they turned out horrible! Very blurry,( i think it was too dark, people were moving, and I am not experienced enough to know how to accommodate all that) but all the other photos turned out great and combined with my mom's, Loni's, and Jackie's photos (1200 photos total) we have it all covered! Now I am playing around in photoshop and planning which photos to use in my gift to them- a hard bound photo book- of course! On another note, I decided to dye my hair! My roots were growing out with my highlights/low lights showing, and this is phase 2 of me growing it out. Now it will be all one color and will grow out LONG, hopefully fast, so far it feels like it is taking forever (ha ha it's only been 8 weeks since my last hair cut!) I haven't dyed my hair from a box in at least 10 years, it is so hard to pick what color you think your hair is. I stared long and hard, had it narrowed down to 2, then Tristen pulled this box off the shelf and said,"Mom this is your color!" I couldn't believe it, it was a perfect match! So of course I had to get it. And I think he did an awesome job, what do you think? It's Mochaccino!!!! Love the name! Light ash brown by Garnier Nutrisse.

Now we are planning Gram's party! Then Disneyland here we come!

Bridal Pictures, scrapbook day.....

Well the bridal pictures are taken! We had planned on doing it on Saturday, but it snowed all day. But it was fate because Sunday was beautiful and ended up being way better because less people at "Gardner Village" a little shopping center with cute little shops, a pond with ducks, bridges etc. I wish I was a better photographer, had some more equipment, like a light reflector, etc. Our biggest obstacles were too much sun, too much shadow, and trying to block out background things, like signs, power lines, etc. But I took 291! pictures and here are some of my favorites. Candi is a beautiful model, I think she looked stunning. Her dress is so gorgeous, I love the bottom of it! My favorite pics were toward the end of the photo session, on a bridge, the light was just perfect and I finally got the background to go all "blurred" out.

Also I painted some rocks in my yard in her colors and used a paint pen to write on them, and dang they turned out so so cute( thank you so much party goddess Sandy!)
Mom if you are sharing the blog with gram, don't let her read anymore....Today I want to finish my present to my Gram for her 80th b-day! It is scrapbook related and I will share some pics later. It's an album that I am going to put pictures of the big party in and also have it be a guest book. I am going to have some papers for people to write on.... I am going to prompt them to write a little something for the memory book, like how they met gram, or a funny story, or what they love about her, etc. I will have pens and the paper set up at the party. I think it is going to turn out so cute! I am very excited.

April Fools- No fools here!

Whew- been very busy working lately..... and have been so so tired. Worked Saturday night, was so exhausted on Sunday, then Tristen kept us up half the night crying that his ear hurt. I had to work Monday day (that is the most horrible turnaround, never want to do it again) so William took him to the Dr while I was at work, and it turns out he has an ear infection in both ears! Poor baby. (he has had a cold lately) Then I worked Tuesday day also, and had a beautiful birth- but exhausting first time mom without an epidural, it was an emotional whirlwind supporting her through the pain, convincing her she could do it. I was pacing.... finally she made it, I felt like crying, it was so exhilarating, I can't describe it, It felt like I had given birth! When I got home Tuesday, whew I was drained, but still had to do homework, eat, get kids to bed, man some days I feel like I am dragging myself through them. Today I work up with that feeling- you know the one when you can feel that you are getting sick- slight funny feeling throat, no energy- so I am taking care of myself, drinking hot cocoa, to the library for some new books, and just being lazy(well I did run 2 miles- but that just improves my mood and increases my energy). Speaking of moods- I am trying to go off my meds for the PMDD and it is horrible. Why is this happening to me now? I am trying so hard to be healthy-exercise, eat better, drink more water, de-stress, because I hate having to take drugs if I don't have too, but the PMS this month was so horrendous despite my attempts. I'll give it one more month, maybe a dr visit, then back on the meds. Can't say I didn't try.
So the story about these pretty yellow flowers is kinda funny. Was having a borderline day and was in a rush driving Tristen to pre-school, was changing lanes.... I feel like I am a good driver, look in my mirrors, blind spot, etc and So I moved over and I felt from out of nowhere a car zips around me almost hitting me, like I cut him off? Then he proceeds to zip around other cars ahead of me. So as we pull up to a stop light, I couldn't help myself, I looked over out of curiosity, was it some teenage boy? No it was a guy in his 30's who is flipping me the bird with both hands and mouthing "bitch". Yowzer, I couldn't believe it, I actually got tears in my eyes, my feelings were really hurt. Jeez, why are people sometimes so awful. If I did cut him off , which I don't think I did, sorry, but does that really deserve that kind of response? I fought the tears, dropped Tristen off to school, and went to Wallmart to do my grocery shopping. Can I say I hate Wallmart? Love the cheaper prices, but their produce sucks! Their customer service sucks. They don't have "cool" stuff. So I bought myself some flowers. When do I ever have fresh flowers? Never. I used to buy flowers for myself all the time in Santa Barbara, and I deserved them dang it! Still have them! Over a week now, they make me feel happy. Another thing that makes me happy is my new purse. I think it is so adorable and different, it caught my eye at this new store I discovered, "Urban Blues" which also has cute clothes. I really shouldn't have bought it, but forget it, life is short, I work hard and so I bought it! So that is my very long update! xoxo Jenn
